Out and About

March 13, 2015, 12:29 a.m.

I don't care, but I do. I'm so grunge, how 'bout you?

Attainable or not, we like to think we can go out and about whenever the mood strikes. Ladies who lunch, of course. To avoid showing how much we do care, "throw on" a denim button down with those comfy denim cut offs and some sneaks. Oh, hi. I woke up like this (an hour later).

Yonce.

Blast from the Past

March 8, 2015, 5:02 p.m.

Much like trains going to and from the station, trends in fashion fly in and fly out from season to season. However, if you hang on to something long enough,(thank you, Gran) it will become a functioning caboose once again. I give you, the fringe jacket. Before running out to purchase one, check with your grandmother and/or mother to see if they are hanging on to years gone by. Oh, the places you'll go when wearing a bit of history.

Tweed it Out

March 1, 2015, 6:32 p.m.

Curls, and pearls, and girls, and.....tweed. The rhythm can be syncopated when wearing tweed to avoid a stereotypical jingle we have all heard a million times. Stepford Wives, anyone? Skip the basic beat by pairing tweed with jeans for a casual/uptight mix. Off beat, up beat, you'll be the beat.

She's Backkkkkk

Feb. 23, 2015, 2 p.m.

Because love is stronger with pain, absence makes the heart grow fonder. There will be times in your life where the things you love are taken from you. Perhaps they return, perhaps they are gone forever. I can only tell you one way to combat the loss:  compose a symphony.

Style may seem trivial, but humor me for a moment. We oftentimes embody the attitude displayed via the clothes on our body. If you look like a broken, out of tune piano with missing keys, I would venture to say the music will be quite tragic. And no, not Mozart Requiem tragic. What does Beethoven's Ode to Joy look like to you? Your style should be filled with the imagery of your heart. A heart filled with joy because God gave it the opportunity to beat every single day.

Can you hear the music that is LK? I pray it makes you dance in the rain.
